Interns and Volunteers

General Information
Students from local colleges are often required to participate in an internship as part of a class or curriculum. These interns are referred through their instructors or field placement office to Family Court. A background check and brief orientation is done at their initial interview with the Volunteer Coordinator. Interns may be assigned to various divisions of the Court, including Probation Services, Intake, or Programs. This is an invaluable experience in the Juvenile Justice System which combines observation and hands-on experience to supplement the classroom instruction.
