Birmingham, AL – Cooper Green Mercy Health Services,currently managed by Jefferson County, has initiated precautionary measures due to COVID-19/Coronavirus. These measures are aimed at keeping both patients and staff healthy so that we can continue to serve the indigent citizens of Jefferson County. 1. Appointments – All appointments other than oncology,diagnostic mammograms and ultrasounds, coumadin lab checks, and wound care are being canceled. If you were scheduled for an appointment, you will receive a notice if you have not already. These will be rescheduled after April 6th unless the situation changes. If you have questions call 205-930-3350. If you believe you have the virus, please call ahead or call from outside the facility, 205-930-3265. 2. Urgent Care – Our Urgent Care will remain open from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday – Friday, but we will be prioritizing our enrollees. The tests for COVID-19 are limited. As such those who do not have life threatening symptoms, you might be asked to quarantine and practice self-care at home after being assessed. As we learn more about this virus, our actions will adjust accordingly. As always, please remember to wash your hands often, cough/sneeze into your elbow, and do not go out in public if you are sick.
