| Changes in Tag Renewal Notices Coming in July |

| Jefferson County is changing the way it sends tag renewal notices. Starting in July, notices will be full page and come in a letter with a return envelope. No more postcards! Here is a link to what a sample mailing will look like (Click Here). If the person has more than one vehicle, all of the vehicles will be included in the letter notice (previously citizens received multiple cards). The letters will save the County money in the long run because while postcards are cheaper to mail, listing multiple vehicles in one letter, will net a cost saving over sending multiple cards. Soon the Dept. of Revenue also hopes to include boats renewals in the notices as well. |
