Want to report a pothole? Illegal Dumping? Find out who your Commissioner is? There’s an app for that! Jefferson County has created the “MyJeffco” app that is now available for download for both IOS and Android phones.

IOS/Apple

Google/Android

How does it work?

All you have to do is create an account and enter the type of your request, where it says “requests”. In the app you can upload a picture of the issue and mark on a map exactly where that issue is. If the issue is not the responsibility of Jefferson County, it will let you know. Example: If you are trying to request a pothole in the City of Birmingham to be filled, that is not the County’s responsibility – it’s the city’s.

If your request does fall in the Jefferson County area of responsibility your request will be routed to the correct department and you will receive a response within 48 hours if not sooner.

In addition to the reporting capability there is also a Knowledge Base section. Click on the “… more” on the bottom right of the app and go to “FAQ” or “E-Services”. That takes you links for online services or lets you search for information such as:
  • Can I renew my car tag online?
  • How can I get a copy of my birth certificate, divorce decree, or marriage license.
  • How can I pay a traffic ticket?
It’s all in the app. Check it out when you have a moment: Watch Video
